Overview
CompTIA Security+ establishes the core knowledge required of any cybersecurity role and provides a springboard to intermediate-level cybersecurity jobs. The certification emphasizes the practical and hands-on ability to both identify and address security threats, attacks, and vulnerabilities. This course provides knowledge and skill to identify risks, perform risk management and mitigation activities, and ensure operational security of enterprise networks.
Course Objectives
After completing this course, students will be able to:
- identify the fundamental concepts of computer security
- identify security threats and vulnerabilities
- manage application, data, and host security
- identify access control and account management security measures
- identify compliance and operational security measures
- manage certificates, risk and security incidents
- develop a Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP)
